In this position, you will get to: Work collaboratively with Supply team (Procurement, Materials Management and Accounts Payable departments, US and CA) to ensure corporate and departmental objectives are achieved. Work to understand the complete flow of materials (physically and systematically) from Purchase Request through Receipt. Coordinate all day-to-day materials-related activities including maintaining material tracking reports (SAP – Excel) and daily ordering of kanban materials. Expedite inbound material deliveries to ensure all requirements are met. Maintain Expedite/follow-up reports for all purchases. Assist with developing, communicating, maintaining, and improving policies, procedures and standard templates for the materials processes. Ensure timely material deliveries by proactively engaging suppliers and vendors, applying firm, decisive pressure when required so expectations and commitments are taken seriously. Maintain blanket orders and contracts to ensure replenishment and stable supply chain. Work with all suppliers to achieve supplier performance greater than 80%, keeping strong working relationships and ensuring any quality or delivery issues are communicated with appropriate departments. You have: Post-secondary education in business or supply chain preferred. 5+ years of experience in a purchasing or materials management role within a supply chain environment is an asset. Strong MS Excel skills (able to sort, format, run formulas, pivot tables, Vlookup, etc). Experience with SAP or similar ERP system. Confident negotiation skills, with the ability to drive supplier accountability on pricing, terms, and delivery performance. Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional presence with an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Pay Transparency Chemelex’s pay scale is based on the expected range of compensation for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $75,000-85,000 CAD.
