The Senior Human Resources Manager is a key leadership role within the Canadian HR team, with a strong focus on talent and HR operations. Strategic and hands-on, the role requires versatility, sound judgment, and the ability to move between big-picture thinking and day-to-day execution. As a trusted partner across the organization, the Senior Human Resources Manager helps drive practical people solutions, strengthen the employee experience, and support both employee and organizational success. Created to support the continued growth of the organization, this role may evolve over time to reflect changing business needs and priorities. The role is based in-office in Toronto, close to Pearson airport, with regular visits to project sites across the GTA, and may include periodic travel within Canada and limited international travel. Key Responsibilities HR Leadership & Partnership – Provide leadership, guidance, and support across the HR function, acting as a trusted partner and building strong working relationships across the organization. Team Development & Capability Building – Support, coach, and mentor HR team members, sharing knowledge and helping strengthen HR capability, consistency, and support across the team. Talent & HR Operations – Lead and drive talent and HR operations priorities, helping build strong, forward-looking programs, processes, and services that support ACCIONA and its people. Talent Management & Development – Lead and contribute across workforce planning, talent management, employee development, learning initiatives, succession planning, internal mobility, recruitment, and other people initiatives. Employee Relations & Organizational Effectiveness – Provide practical solutions and guidance on a broad range of employee, organizational, and operational matters, including complex employee relations issues and organizational challenges. Systems & Insights – Leverage HR systems, data, and reporting to support informed decision-making and effective day-to-day HR operations. Projects & Delivery – Contribute across HR projects, initiatives, and business priorities, with involvement ranging from leading and guiding to supporting hands-on execution. Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance employee experience, strengthen HR delivery, and improve the effectiveness of HR processes, programs, and practices. Experience, Qualifications and Competencies Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field preferred. 10 to 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience is preferred, with experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or managing HR professionals and teams. Significant experience across talent management, HR operations, and other core areas of Human Resources. Experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and navigating complex organizational matters. Demonstrated success leading and developing HR initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts. Strong business acumen, leadership, influence, and relationship-building skills. Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on, operational approach in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
