The role requires leadership in coordinating mechanical crews, ensuring that projects are executed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety. The Mechanical Superintendent will act as the primary point of contact between the mechanical teams, project management, subcontractors, and clients.Key Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:Manage daily mechanical construction operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards.Coordinate and supervise mechanical crews, ensuring effective productivity and adherence to safety practices.Ensure timely completion and submission of timesheets and daily reports.Act as liaison between the company, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and issue resolution.Lead by example in enforcing company safety policies, documenting and reporting incidents, and promoting a proactive safety culture on‑site.Collaborate closely with Project Managers to optimize resource allocation including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.Monitor and maintain high quality workmanship consistent with design and engineering documents.Mentor and train mechanical team members to enhance skills and ensure best practices.Support project audits and inspections as required.Assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of mechanical craft employees.Additional Information This position is designated as safety‑sensitive making employment contingent upon the successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing, as well as criminal and general background checks.Schedule Schedule will be Monday‑Friday (5 days on 2 days off)Standard workdays are 10 hours (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.)Overtime paid at time and a half after 10 hours per day and 40 hours per weekWhat We’re Looking ForDiploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Red Seal Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) certification or equivalent recognized trade certification required.Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction supervision, preferably in Water Control structures, welding and fabrication, civil and cement components, electrical or utility infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation procedures, and applicable codes and standards.Proficient in computer systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
