Job Description The Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) is seeking a full‑time, contract (1‑year) Research Coordinator. Working under the supervision of the section lead/senior scientist for the Health Outcomes and Performance Evaluation (HOPE) section, the Research Coordinator will collaborate on various projects and contribute significantly to the monitoring of the project work plan and achievement of key deliverables. The role is based at the ICES‑University of Toronto satellite site and is located at 250 College Street. Responsibilities Develop SAS programs to extract and merge data from ICES databases according to dataset creation plans and following ICES standards and guidelines. Prepare tables, figures and reports and carry out statistical analyses according to project analysis plans. Complete program and project documentation according to ICES standards and guidelines. Interpret results and contribute to manuscripts and other deliverables. Participate in ICES meetings/rounds and provide presentations, contributions to working groups, and support the development of practice guidelines/standards as required. Coordinate project activities with staff and trainees, demonstrating teamwork and leadership. Support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all regulatory and legislative requirements. Qualifications Master’s degree in health or social sciences (e.g., economics, health economics, health services research, epidemiology, or biostatistics). At least two years of related research experience with quantitative research, including coordination of complex projects and comprehensive literature searches. Experience with administrative data, particularly ICES data holdings, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), EndNote, and internet search engines. Knowledge and proficiency in economic evaluations is an asset. Superior oral and written communication skills, creative problem‑solving, and organizational abilities. Project management experience with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders and adapt to varying work environments and conditions. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
