About Questrade Financial Group (QFG) QFG, through Questrade, Questbank, Questrade Wealth Management, Community Trust Company, Zolo, and Flexiti, offers securities and foreign‑currency investment, professionally managed portfolios, mortgages, real‑estate, and financial services. The company leverages cutting‑edge technology to help Canadians achieve greater financial security. Position Overview We’re seeking a Senior Advisor, AI Engineering Frameworks & Tooling to transform how non‑technical departments operate with AI. This role is an individual‑contributor, not a management position, focused on designing, building and evangelizing AI‑powered frameworks that replace manual processes across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Accounting, Settlements and Operations. Responsibilities Reinvent non‑technical department workflows with AI, embedding yourself in teams to understand their real work and deliver AI frameworks that transform it. Legal: Build contract‑review frameworks that automatically assess documents against regulatory requirements (B‑10, B‑13, consumer protection), flag gaps and produce actionable compliance assessments. Compliance & Audit: Create AI‑driven audit frameworks that continuously monitor processes and proactively surface findings with supporting evidence, moving from reactive to real‑time automated audits. Settlements: Redesign reconciliation workflows so exception handling, break detection and resolution are AI‑assisted end‑to‑end instead of spreadsheet‑driven. Accounting: Automate month‑end close verification steps, flag anomalies early and compress a multi‑week process into days, making close processes run continuously. Build AI frameworks and developer tooling – design reusable AI‑assisted workflows (slash commands, prompt pipelines, Claude Code skills, MCP integrations) that accelerate software delivery, API design, specification authoring, story writing and compliance checks across Engineering teams. Create AI‑native development environments by architecting containerized, composable platforms where AI agents operate the full toolchain (build, test, lint, deploy, simulate) so developers describe intent in plain language. Act as evangelist – demonstrate results, conduct workshops, pair with teams, publish internal guides and drive adoption through undeniable productivity gains. Maintain state‑of‑the‑art knowledge – research emerging AI capabilities, experiment hands‑on, and translate findings into production‑grade tooling for immediate adoption. Bridge business and technology – deeply understand business domains, regulations and operational constraints to build AI tooling that respects complexity. Champion continuous delivery for AI tooling – version‑control prompt engineering, skill definitions, and framework configurations; treat AI workflows as software that is tested, reviewed, documented and shipped through CI/CD. Mentor and multiply AI literacy across engineering and non‑engineering teams, enabling each department to eventually own and evolve its AI‑native workflows. Qualifications Deep hands‑on experience building AI‑assisted workflows that others adopt, especially for non‑technical teams. Strong software engineering foundation – design APIs, write OpenAPI specs, build Docker environments, script CI/CD pipelines, and operate in complex distributed systems. Ability to learn and internalize business domains quickly, following regulatory review processes and delivering working AI frameworks in those contexts. Natural evangelist who finds energy in showing people better ways, handles pushback with curiosity and fosters trust when reinventing processes. Experience with prompt engineering, AI agent orchestration and/or MCP server design. Comfortable operating across the full stack: infrastructure (Docker, GCP/Azure), backend (C#, Python, Node), API design (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI) and developer‑experience tooling. Self‑directed and constantly reinventing; side projects often become team standards. Degree, diploma or equivalent experience in a related field. Startup or scale‑up experience – thrive in ambiguity, iterate fast, and create processes from scratch. Contributions to open‑source AI tooling or developer‑experience projects. Experience building AI frameworks that span non‑technical departments (Legal, Compliance, Operations). Benefits Health and wellbeing resources and programs. Paid vacation, personal and sick days for work‑life balance. Competitive compensation and benefits packages. Career growth and development opportunities. Opportunities to contribute to community causes. Work with a diverse, inclusive and collaborative team. Compensation Base salary range: $200,000 – $230,000, plus short‑ and long‑term incentives. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills and geographic location, including a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive bonus program for full‑time permanent roles. Questrade Financial Group is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and accessible work environment. Candidates requiring accommodations during the recruitment process should notify us, and we will work to meet their needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
