Lastly, just like everyone else at Shane Homes, you take your job seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously. We would love it if you had these: 2-5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or equivalent Experience with performance tuning and recovery models Proficiency in SQL scripting a database design Experience with reporting tools Diploma or degree in IT or related field Nice-to-Have: PowerAutomate / PowerApps Windows Server familiarity Data warehousing Experience Here's What Your Day-To-Day Could Look Like: Maintain and optimize SQL Server database environments Monitor and tune database performance Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery Implement and maintain database security and access controls Troubleshoot database issues Configure and maintain system security, software, and hardware across departments Develop and maintain reports (e.g., Crystal Reports) Develop and maintain custom dynamic spreadsheets (e.g., Excel Power Query) Design and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures Build dashboards and data visualizations Collaborate with stakeholders on reporting needs Support database-related infrastructure and integrations Assist with system upgrades and deployments Contribute to IT operations when needed Enforce database governance and standards Support cybersecurity initiatives Cybersecurity Provide technical support and guidance Assist with training and knowledge sharing Player Profile You’ve ever opened Excel, SQL, and a server console at the same time and thought “yeah this is fine” You enjoy building reports that people actually use You like understanding how systems connect—not just your part of them You don’t panic when things break… you get curious Here’s Why You'll Love Working with Us: People First Culture We promote a dynamic and supportive workplace where being your authentic self is highly encouraged.
