Work Conditions: Local candidates will be given preference due to the location of the work Will be required to work shifts, on‑call, and nights as necessary Benefits provided by CLAC Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions Accommodations can be provided for non‑local candidates Essential Responsibilities: Assist leadership with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew Operate equipment on work sites as needed Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly Qualifications: Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and a clear 3‑year driver’s abstract Previous supervisory experience in highway maintenance, road construction, bridges or related field is required Snow plow experience is preferred Strong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications Professional written and verbal communication skills Computer skills are an asset Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol and audiogram testing Rates & Premiums: Base hourly rate of $33.75 per hour Eligible to receive premiums starting at $8 per hour when performing winter maintenance operations Operators will be eligible to receive a premium up to $14 per hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit Operators who reside and work in Fox Creek will receive an additional $5 per hour when performing winter maintenance operations (Applicable Oct 1 to Apr 30) Employment Equity At Ledcor we believe diversity, equity, and inclusion should be part of everything we do.
