Technical Services Manager – Mississauga, ONPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced Regional Technical Services Manager to provide strategic technical leadership across a diverse commercial real‑estate portfolio including multi‑residential, office, retail, and industrial assets. This role partners closely with Asset Management, Property Management, Sustainability, and Capital Projects to protect and enhance asset value, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage technical and environmental risk across the portfolio.The successful candidate will act as a technical authority and trusted advisor, supporting long‑term asset strategies, capital planning, and operational excellence.Hybrid: 4 days at properties/in office.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership supporting asset value optimization, lifecycle planning, and capital strategy.Advise Asset Management on deferred maintenance, reinvestment priorities, and value‑add initiatives.Champion consistency and technical best practices across the regional portfolio.Oversee the condition, performance, and lifecycle planning of major building systems including HVAC, electrical, life safety, building envelope, and vertical transportation.Review and validate building condition assessments, engineering reports, and technical studies.Support capital projects by reviewing scopes, budgets, and technical deliverables.Ensure portfolio compliance with building codes, fire and life safety requirements, environmental regulations, and applicable standards.Develop and implement portfolio‑wide technical standards and operating best practices.Support audits, inspections, and interactions with authorities having jurisdiction.Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and environmental risks impacting asset performance and business continuity.Support acquisitions and dispositions through technical and environmental due diligence.Partner with Risk, Insurance, and Environmental teams on risk assessments and mitigation strategies.Support energy efficiency, decarbonization, and environmental performance initiatives.Assist in evaluating low‑carbon technologies and system upgrades aligned with portfolio objectives.QualificationsDegree in Engineering, Building Science, Facilities Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).10+ years of progressive experience in technical services, engineering, or building operations within commercial real estate.Strong knowledge of multi‑residential, office, retail, and industrial building systems.Demonstrated experience in capital planning, regulatory compliance, and risk management.Professional designation (P.Eng, PMP, CFM, or similar) considered an asset.Compensation & Benefits Expected Base Pay Range: $90,000.00 – $135,000.00. The base pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.
