Learn more about how our people live our values. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the entire construction process for a high-end, large scale residential tower. This project will feature immaculate finishes, luxurious amenities, amazing views and provide over 400 homes to the Burnaby community. This senior and autonomous position is a key member of Axiom Builders’ team, you’ll be trusted to drive excellence, ensuring every detail reflects the quality and client satisfaction we’re known for. From overseeing costs, schedule, and quality assurance to steering subcontractor negotiations and building strong partnerships with owners, consultants, and trades, you’ll have full accountability for project and people performance. Key Responsibilities Manage internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects and ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget; Develop and manage project scope, schedule, costs, and objectives, involve all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility; Act as front-line contact with consultants, engineers, trades, site staff, and the owners; Engage with estimating, pre-construction, Quality Control and Operational Excellence to create a community of experts for your projects; Promote and project the company image of efficiency, quality, technical competence and fair management of trades and suppliers; Hire, support and lead multiple project teams; building a culture of safety, quality and performance; Know critical path issues within your portfolio and actively remove barriers for your project teams to create effective, timely and quality focused resolutions; Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, resolving issues, managing client expectation, and ensuring client satisfaction. Skills & Experience At least five to seven (5-7) years of experience as a Project Manager and 2+ years as a Senior Project Manager working on residential high-rise projects as part of a large general contractor; Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field; Proficient with project management tools, such as Microsoft Project and/or Procore; Strong relationship and network of sub-trades in the Lower Mainland; Excellent communication - confidence and ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels; Balanced technical and soft-skills and the ability to coach and train people around you; Experience with virtual construction and 3D modelling programs will be considered an asset.
