Lankin Investments is a leading Canadian real estate investment & asset management firm with property under management of over $2B consisting of 6,400+ multi‑family units and 2,500+ units in development. Our ethos is simple yet profound: Driven by our people, we foster financial prosperity and community value through strategic Canadian real estate investments. With more than 15 years of successfully acquiring, managing, and operating multi‑residential properties across Canada, we have achieved a celebrated reputation among real estate investors. The success is driven by providing our team members with an environment that fosters a people‑first culture with a high priority on personal and professional growth. Lankin Investments is hiring a Senior Manager, Strategic Operations to lead operational improvement and value creation across the enterprise. This role sits within the Strategic Operations function and reports directly to the VP, Strategic Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and executing the operational improvements that ensure each department performs at the level Lankin's growth demands — through process optimization, technology enablement, governance enhancements, and operating model improvements. The standard of success is velocity of improvement across the business, reflected in outcomes that are visible, measurable, and compounding. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key part in driving the company’s operational growth and long‑term evolution. If you are a high‑performing manager from consulting or a similarly fast‑paced strategic or operational environment, and you are ready to own outcomes rather than simply advise on them, this role was designed with you in mind. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Lead structured operational reviews across departments, evaluating in‑place processes, governance frameworks, controls, reporting, and technology, and translate findings into prioritized improvement roadmaps with clear ownership and timelines Identify and size value creation opportunities within each department, distinguishing between quick wins and larger initiatives that require structured planning, resourcing, and cross‑functional coordination Own improvement initiatives end‑to‑end, from scoping and business case development through execution and performance measurement, ensuring each initiative delivers against its stated objectives Lead change management activities, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption tracking, while assessing organizational design and recommending structural adjustments that improve performance and position teams for scale Identify technology and systems gaps; lead vendor evaluations, system selection, and implementation support, ensuring solutions are practical, adopted, and fit for purpose Develop KPI frameworks, performance dashboards, and initiative status reports that give senior leadership clear visibility into operational health and improvement progress Prepare well‑structured recommendations and briefing materials for the VP, Strategic Operations and executive stakeholders, translating operational findings into clear, decision‑ready communications Leading Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting or comparable environment (e.g., internal strategy, corporate development, or similar with broad cross‑functional exposure) with a focus on business process improvement, operational transformation, and organizational effectiveness Demonstrated experience conducting operational assessments, identifying root causes of underperformance, and designing and implementing practical, durable solutions Experience identifying opportunities for automation, AI enablement, and workflow optimization is considered a strong asset. Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously; formal PM methodology exposure is an asset Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and build credibility across functions without direct authority Strong analytical and financial literacy; comfortable building structured frameworks and quantifying business impact Experience preparing materials for executive and senior leadership audiences Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field is required CPA, CFA, or PMP designation is an asset, but not required Familiarity with real estate private equity, private equity, or alternative asset management is a plus How We Define Success of the Role Success is measured above all by the velocity at which the organization improves — not the quality of diagnostics alone, but the tangible operational and financial impact of initiatives driven to completion. Recommendations matter; outcomes matter more. Early credibility and momentum. In the near term, success looks like building trust quickly with department leads, developing a clear picture of where the most significant opportunities lie, and executing early wins that demonstrate both competence and momentum. In the medium term, success is defined by improvement initiatives advancing on schedule, measurable gains in departmental efficiency and performance, and a growing culture of operational discipline across the organization. Theperson who succeeds here moves fast without cutting corners, is equally comfortable presenting to senior leadership and working alongside front‑line teams and does not wait to be pointed in a direction. They identify where value is being left on the table and pursue it with discipline and focus. You continuously demonstrate our core values through all aspects of your work: entrepreneurial drive, integrity, dedication, collaboration, and inclusivity. You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains, and attracts talent. Why Join Lankin Investments? At Lankin Investments, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that values entrepreneurial drive, integrity, and collaboration. You will have the ability to make a significant contribution and be part of the company’s growth. We offer a competitive compensation package, including performance‑based incentives, the ability to invest in our funds, comprehensive health benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development. Join us in our mission to create lasting value for our investors and make a positive impact on the communities we serve. #J-18808-Ljbffr
