Onsite Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager – Ontario Base pay range: CA$100,000.00/yr - CA$135,000.00/yrA well-established consulting and engineering firm in Ontario is seeking an experiencedOnsite Wastewater Engineer / Project Managerto join their Water & Wastewater group. This role is ideal for a technical leader with strong experience in onsite sewage system design, hydrogeology, rural land development, and environmental engineering.You’ll lead projects end-to-end, manage client relationships, provide senior technical oversight, and mentor junior staff across multiple Ontario offices.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocationOversee and mentor engineers, geoscientists, technologists, and techniciansConduct and supervise field investigations in compliance with HSE and regulatory requirementsAnalyze hydrogeological and wastewater data and prepare technical interpretationsliPrepare and review engineering evaluation reports, design reports, drawings, and specificationsDesign onsite wastewater/septic systems (small and large subsurface disposal systems)Complete mass balance and nutrient dilution calculations for Reasonable Use CriteriaPrepare environmental approvals documentation (ECA submissions)Ensure project delivery meets schedule, budget, and quality expectationsSupport client retention, relationship development, and business growthManage billing, project financials, and technical quality assuranceTravel to project sites and meetings as requiredQualifications8+ years of consulting experience in OntarioBachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or Wastewater EngineeringLicensed P.Eng.
