Job Purpose We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Purchasing Manager to lead and optimize our procurement activities across the organization. In this key role, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, products, and services that support our operational goals, while building strong supplier partnerships and driving long-term value. Key Responsibilities Oversee all purchasing activities for materials, supplies for business operations. Monitor and support employee performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals and to foster continuous development. Ensure optimal inventory levels without excess or disruption, in close coordination with warehouse and operations teams. Analyze purchasing trends and market. Ensure accuracy of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and documentation in coordination with accounting and receiving departments. Track and report on KPIs related to procurement. Resolve discrepancies with invoices, shipments, or product quality in collaboration with finance and operations. Maintain ongoing relationships with carriers and lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms, service reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain operations. Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role. Applied knowledge of inventory management, carrying cost, min/max, and logistics; Experience building spreadsheets with intermediate formulas, charts, and pivot tables; organizing data. Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) designation (asset). Bilingual (French and English*), spoken and written.
