It is headquartered in Brownsville, Wisconsin, USA.Job Description The Project Engineer, Pipeline plays a key role in delivering pipeline projects from start to finish. In this role you will lead smaller projects or take ownership of specific scopes within larger builds, gaining hands‑on experience across equipment design, procurement, scheduling, production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning. You will keep pipeline projects on track by managing budgets, schedules, and compliance with company standards, while supporting and mentoring contractors and craft workers through clear interpretation of project plans and specifications.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Lead the full project lifecycle—from design and procurement through scheduling, production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of complex equipment.Keep projects on track by managing budgets and progress, aligning with schedules and control estimates, and ensuring compliance with company procedures.Ensure work is executed to the highest standards by delivering projects in accordance with design requirements, budget, schedule, and company and project policies.Provide clear interpretation of drawings, detail sheets, and specifications to contractors and craft workers to support accurate and efficient execution.Prepare, maintain, and update engineering and project control documentation.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and key stakeholders to develop and execute effective construction strategies.Provide mentoring and coaching to other technical team members, contributing to a collaborative, supportive, and knowledge‑sharing environment.Uphold company culture and core values by adhering to Michels Canada’s Standards and Policies and working with others to promote and preserve our values while conducting your duties to contribute to a positive and professional work environment.Perform additional duties as required.RequirementsEngineering degree with 5‑years’ experience or Technical diploma with 6‑8 years’ related experience.Registered as P.Eng or P.L. Eng with APEGA in Alberta.Minimum of 5-years of related construction experience with a contractor, preferably in pipeline or heavy civil construction.Working knowledge of Primavera, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD and Bluebeam.Familiarity with CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, or ASME B31.8 considered an asset.Experience writing plans in accordance with company specifications and applicable industry codes.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced project environment.Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team.Benefits We offer competitive total compensation, meaningful and challenging work, and an engaging and collaborative environment.
