Salary Range: $110,000 to $130,000 CAD per annum Job Class: Full Time Work Location: Toronto, ON, CA Position Summary Responsible for overseeing all operations related to the recruitment and pre‑screening of all participants for clinical trials. Plans, oversees, and executes the recruitment and selection of participants required for all clinical research trials (BE, Phase I, etc.). Directs the Clinical Recruitment team in Toronto which includes the Strategic Operations lead, Recruitment Manager, and Clinical Research Recruiters. What you will be doing Direct the Clinical Research team to meet objectives and deliverables ensuring compliance with study protocol, BPSI SOPs, GCP, and regulatory requirements as well as adherence to assigned study timelines. Set performance targets, develop, and monitor KPIs to ensure success and provide transparency to stakeholders. Develop methods to maximize study participant engagement to minimize cancellations, no‑shows, screen failures and ensure the overall health of the patient/participant database; all to ensure no short panels. Work with Marketing to create strategies to maximize reach, engagement, and conversion of new study participants using digital marketing, social media, and traditional channels. Effectively plan and strategize to reach special patient populations as per the needs of research studies. Participate in writing, reviewing, and/or developing study protocols, BPSI SOPs, internal procedures and Quality Management Systems, and study volunteer compensation models. Facilitate protocol feasibility assessments and provide guidance to Medical Writing, Proposal & Contracts and Project Management teams on study design, inclusion/exclusion criteria, labs, study volunteer compensation, etc. Assist in evaluating clinic calendar and proposed projects to maximize usage of resources while balancing enrollment. Participate in strategic decisions and partnering activities to increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure that corporate clinical goals are met on time and on budget. Evaluate and implement scalable digital solutions to meet the high growth of the company and to maximize efficiency and effectiveness with a focus on patient engagement, patient experience, and stakeholder transparency. Meet the Objectives and Key Results as set by Executive Management. Report and present strategy, plans, performance metrics, etc. to various stakeholders including Clients/Sponsors. Develop Call Centre operating guidelines and strategies for use of this technology, including tactical guidance and specialized knowledge to ensure the ongoing operation of the Call Centre. This includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the Call Centre activities, providing leadership to the recruiting staff, and reviewing Call Centre reports and records. Set Call Centre targets/goals and ensure high quality of service. Communicate changes from scheduled timelines or recruitment challenges in a timely manner to mitigate risks associated with study enrolment. Manage tasks of the Clinical Recruiters including acknowledgement of study briefings, updating clinical data, responding to inbound calls, and booking appointments. Review recruiting information and pre‑study documentation generated by Clinical Recruitment Coordinators. Responsible for setting the study‑specific recruiting plans, balancing subject safety, cost‑effectiveness, clinic resources, and staff availability. You have Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice. Ability to work in a research setting and awareness of the confidentiality required in research. At least 4+ years’ experience in clinical research or related field. Computer literacy: MS Office, good communication skills, problem solving, organizational and leadership skills. Relevant previous Management and training experience required.
