Senior Cinematic Animator – Full‑time, Remote Friendly (BC or Alberta) As a Senior Cinematic Animator, you are focused on creating high quality, narrative‑driven, in‑game cutscenes, maximizing performance that resemble film quality while running in real‑time within engine UE 5+. You will blend emotional acting and technical expertise in motion capture to bring characters and stories to life. You will collaborate with cinematic artists and designers to achieve the ultimate performance. Responsibilities Create compelling, high-quality character animations for cinematic sequences using keyframe techniques and motion capture data. Work with designers, artists and directors to establish emotional impact and narrative continuity. Edit and clean up motion capture data for face and body animations to ensure high fidelity. Use sequencer or similar tools to manage complex sequences and character animation layers. Troubleshoot animation issues within the engine and ensure optimization. Implement cinematics in UE 5+ and ensure a seamless transition from gameplay to cutscene. Stage elements within the engine to deliver cinematic framing. Qualifications and Experience 5+ years of in‑game cinematic animation, specifically with AAA narrative‑driven titles. Extensive experience with Maya, MotionBuilder and UE 5+. Strong knowledge of cinematography, camera animation, and shot continuity. Proven ability to work with facial animation and high‑end motion and performance capture. Passion for storytelling and RPGs. The hiring range for this position is $110,000 - $170,000 in addition to a bi‑yearly performance‑based bonus.
