Social Media Associate (Contract) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) About the Role Are you someone who is looking to build a career in social media marketing? Organigram is looking for a Social Media Associate to join our Communications and Digital Strategy team. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Digital Strategy, you’ll support our brand presence across digital channels — monitoring social conversations, managing community inboxes, and helping ensure customers across our brand portfolio get the attention they need. You’ll work across brands including SHRED, BOXHOT, Collective Project, and more, as part of a supportive team that values curiosity, collaboration, initiative, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Customer Experience Support Track and log customer complaints, ensuring cases are recorded accurately and followed up on in a timely manner. Support ongoing case management, including internal coordination and customer communication through to resolution. Surface patterns and escalations to the appropriate team members as needed. Social Media Monitoring & Community Management Monitor brand mentions and conversations daily using Meltwater, with a focus on Reddit and Instagram. Manage DMs and community inboxes across brand accounts, responding to and clearing messages in a timely manner. Identify customer issues through social channels and ensure they are logged and resolved. Scheduling & Content Operations Manage and maintain the social media content calendar and scheduling across brand accounts. Assist with swag fulfillment to support brand campaigns and events. Maintain and update website content as directed. Collaboration & Reporting Work cross-functionally with communications, marketing, and brand teams to support campaigns and initiatives. Provide regular updates on social and customer activity, flagging progress and opportunities to improve. Qualifications Up to 2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, customer service, or communications (internships and co-op placements welcome). Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Reddit and Instagram. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with digital platforms. Exposure to Meltwater, Sprout Social, or similar tools is an asset (training provided). Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is an asset. Experience in cannabis retail or the regulated cannabis industry is an asset. Bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset. A great sense of humour.
