Overview Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements across the finance function.The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, managing the fixed asset function, supporting treasury activities, and overseeing transactional accounting. This position also provides leadership and guidance across accounting functions while ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.This role is ideal for a strong accounting professional who is hands‑on, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.Location This position will be based in Calgary, Alberta.Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Month-End CloseSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reportingPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and working papersEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and internal policiesAssist with preparation of financial statements and reporting packagesReview general ledger activity for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorizationPerform analysis and provide financial insights where requiredFixed Assets, Treasury & Transactional SupportMaintain ownership of the fixed asset module, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and reconciliationsSupport treasury functions including payment approvals, cash management, and cash flow monitoringAssist with banking activities and maintain proper controls around cash transactionsProvide oversight and support for day-to-day accounting transactions across AP, AR, and general accounting functionsHelp resolve transactional issues and improve workflow efficienciesProcess Improvement, Compliance & Team SupportContinuously evaluate accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvementEnsure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial proceduresSupport implementation of new systems, process enhancements, and finance initiativesAssist with audit requirements, tax filings, statutory compliance, and regulatory reportingBuild strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersProvide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, where applicableQualifications Must HaveBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA designation preferredMinimum 5 years of progressive accounting experiencePrevious managerial experience preferredStrong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirementsExperience with fixed assets, treasury, and general accounting functionsProficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting toolsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical capabilityStrong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environmentNice to HaveExperience in a multi-entity accounting environmentExposure to consolidation and reporting systems such as OneStreamExperience supporting audits and statutory reportingBackground in process improvement and system implementationExperience mentoring junior team members and supporting team development#J-18808-Ljbffr
