The engineering environment includes modern backend systems, AI-enabled product work, and production infrastructure supporting a large-scale digital platform. The Role This is a backend-focused engineering role for someone who can build reliable systems while working hands-on with LLM-powered products. You will own backend services and APIs, contribute to agentic workflows, and bring a practical mindset around experimentation, performance, and production quality. Note, this position is open to entry and early career applicants. What You Will Do Build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and modern delivery practice Develop LLM-powered features using prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, grounding, and evaluation techniques Design agentic workflows that support multi-step reasoning, tool use, and automation Improve backend reliability, performance, and production readiness across key systems Use data, experimentation, and iteration to measure how AI-enabled features perform in practice What You Bring Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and CI/CD in production environments Experience building LLM-based systems, including prompt design, RAG, grounding, and output evaluation Practical exposure to agentic workflows, automation, tool usage, or multi-step AI systems Ability to design, build, and own backend systems and APIs end-to-end Nice-to-have exposure to Python, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, Databricks-style pipelines, Kubernetes, or AWS Why This Role This role is a strong fit for an engineer who wants to move beyond AI prototypes and build production-grade systems that sit inside a real consumer platform.
