This is a senior, self‑directed role for a practitioner who thrives across the full automation lifecycle — from design and programming through commissioning, field support, and operational handover.Your ImpactLead the design, development, and delivery ofPLC and SCADA systemsfor municipal and industrial infrastructure projects.Independently program, test, and commission control systems inlive plant environments .Execute on‑site and remote troubleshooting, includingscheduled and unscheduled service support .Developcontrol narratives, technical specifications, and system documentationthat support safe and reliable operations.Configure and deploySCADA/HMI platforms , including graphics, communications, and databases.Design and supportindustrial OT networks , enabling secure data flow between PLCs, SCADA, and enterprise systems.Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams while maintaining strong independent delivery accountability.The Skills That Set You ApartDemonstrated hands‑on PLC programming experience withRockwell Automation platforms(ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix); experience withEmerson RX3i, Schneider Modicon (M340/M580), or GE Fanucis an asset.Expert‑level experience configuring and supportingVTScada and Ignitionis required.Experience with iFix, AVEVA, ClearSCADA, Survalent, or Geo SCADA considered valuable.Proven implementation and troubleshooting experience withindustrial communication protocols(OPC UA, Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus).Practical experience insystem commissioning, startup support, and operator assistance .Strong understanding ofindustrial networking , including Ethernet (copper/fibre), segmentation, and firewalls.Ability to producecontrol system specifications, PCNs, architecture diagrams, and networking documentation .Comfort contributing complementary skills such asshop drawing review, control schematics, or drafting support(AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation).Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:$46.00 - $61.00 MB & ON:$42.00 - $57.80 NB, NL, NS, PE & QC:$41.60 - $55.20Disclosure:The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
