Purpose of the role Facilitate teams across the company to make informed decisions based on data, rather than on intuition. Lead complex analytical projects with multi-level dependencies, diverse stakeholder base and unclear paths to solution. Role Lead the process of gathering requirements and translating complex business problems into structured, scalable quantitative analyses. Partner with functional departments to extract strategic insights from analytical outputs, shape high‑impact business recommendations, and deliver them through compelling narratives and visualizations. Guide collaboration with stakeholders and team members to design accurate, scalable, business‑relevant datasets, reports, dashboards, and analyses for operational and strategic initiatives. Design robust data models using Kimball/dimensional data modelling techniques. Oversee and optimise data reconciliation and manipulation processes, proactively identifying opportunities for automation, data quality improvement, and integrity checks. Champion data governance by embedding best practices into workflows and mentoring stakeholders. Advise on advancing internal event‑tracking and A/B testing systems. Develop predictive and classification models to support Product, Customer Success, and Marketing domains. Mentor junior colleagues on best practices in analytics, dashboard development, and data storytelling. Report to the Senior Manager, BI & Analytics. You proactively engage with stakeholders to align with their priorities and clearly articulate the broader business context. You lead cross‑functional collaboration, identifying key contacts and facilitating knowledge sharing. You have expert‑level knowledge of data sources across domains and can guide others in selecting and applying the most relevant data. Experience needed 3+ years as a Data Analyst or similar role in analytics, business intelligence, or data science with a track record of measurable impact. Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex business needs into robust data requirements and actionable insights. Advanced proficiency with Python and SQL. Advanced proficiency with Kimball/dimensional data modelling. Advanced proficiency with Looker and LookML for designing Explores and dashboards. Familiarity with other modern BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI, focusing on scalable dashboards. Deep understanding of probability theory, statistical inference, and experimental design, including experience with A/B tests. Solid foundation in mathematics, including combinatorics, calculus, and mathematical logic. Proven ability to communicate findings and recommendations using MS Excel and PowerPoint to diverse audiences. Practical experience with event tracking systems and user behaviour analytics tools. Applied experience with machine learning models for classification, regression, or clustering, preferably in product, marketing, or customer analytics. Experience in the e‑commerce domain is a strong plus. Skills required Manage multiple high‑impact projects simultaneously. Strong grasp of business context and alignment with strategic objectives.
