Our continued success is driven by attracting and developing talented individuals who are looking to build long‑term careers with us.Your roleAssist in the preparation and completion of assurance and advisory engagements for a variety of clientsParticipate in a supporting role on consulting engagementsEffectively respond to client and internal inquiries in a timely and professional manner; escalates issues as appropriateMaintain clear and consistent communication with team members regarding job status and potential issuesProvide bookkeeping support for both clients and internal teamsReview client information and prepare query lists for managersPrepare and maintain accurate client files in a paperless environmentPerform basic analysis on client files as directed by managementActively build technical knowledge and progress toward professional development goalsWhat you bring to the tableA diploma, certificate or degree from a post‑secondary institute in business administration, accounting or finance1‑2 years of relevant experience in public practice or professional services environmentWorking knowledge of Canadian accounting frameworks (PSAB, ASPE, IFRS exposure considered an asset)Eligible or planning to pursue CPA designation (PEP or PREP)Effective written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and developStrong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast‑paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team settingProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, TaxPrep, Sage 300 (ACCPAC), Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online is an assetComfortable working with and adapting to new technologies and digital toolsBenefitsDental careExtended health careLife insuranceRRSP matchVision careWhere you’ll work We are currently hiring for our office in Winnipeg, MB.Job type Permanent, Full‑timeYour schedule Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PMSalary range Will be communicated at a later stage in the hiring process.When you join Baker Tilly, you become part of something bigger — an ambitious, forward‑thinking company that puts people first.
