Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Routing Analyst to support and optimize waste collection operations across multiple divisions nationwide. This role is responsible for leveraging routing software, operational data, and geographic insights to design efficient, cost-effective, and scalable collection routes.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and optimize collection routes across residential, commercial, and industrial divisions throughout CanadaUtilize routing and GIS software to improve route density, reduce travel time, and minimize fuel consumptionContinuously monitor route performance using KPIs such as route efficiency, service time, missed pickups, and cost per stopCollaborate with operations managers, dispatch teams, and drivers to implement route improvementsConduct regular audits of existing routes and recommend adjustments based on volume changes, seasonality, and service requirementsSupport onboarding of new service areas, customers, and contracts by designing optimal routing plansMaintain accurate route data, service maps, and documentation within internal systemsIdentify opportunities for automation and process improvement within routing workflowsAssist in forecasting and capacity planning to ensure balanced workloads across divisionsProvide reporting and insights to leadership on operational performance and cost-saving initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Geography, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)2–5 years of experience in routing, logistics, transportation planning, or operations analysisExperience with routing optimization software (e.g., RouteSmart, ArcGIS, or similar tools)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis toolsFamiliarity with GIS systems and spatial data is considered an assetAbility to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable operational improvementsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teamsExperience in waste management, transportation, or field service operations is preferredWhat We OfferSalary range: $75,000 – $85,000Supportive and collaborative team environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
