Natural Habitat Adventures is currently seeking a driven, passionate, competent, organized, and fun individual to join our Winnipeg team in support of our Polar Bear Quest & Helicopter Safari, Canada’s Premier Polar Bear Adventure, Ultimate Churchill: Tundra Lodge & Town, and Tundra Lodge Adventure programs. The Arrivals Specialist is responsible for delivering a warm and seamless welcome to our guests at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. This role centers on exceptional guest service, clear and positive communication, and the ability to think quickly and problem-solve in real time. A strong understanding of our programs and our travelers is essential to anticipate needs and ensure a smooth arrival experience. Working in a dynamic environment with many moving parts, the Arrivals Specialist must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure, recognizing that as one of the first points of contact, they play a key role in setting the tone for an outstanding trip. This position reports to the Senior Field Operations Manager – Canada. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a warm and friendly welcome to each and every one of our guests upon arrival in Winnipeg Provide thoughtful and informed answers to guest questions related to their expedition Assist with missing luggage, pushing wheelchairs or carts with luggage Provide support to all team members including but not limited to: driver team, Expedition Leaders, Winnipeg Lead, etc. Assist with locating missing guests Assist Driver Team with loading vehicles, assigning cabs for guests when necessary Communicating to the Winnipeg Lead Field Operations Specialist and Canadian Field Operations Manager Provide in person assistance to guests, Driver Team, Winnipeg Lead FOS Assist with luggage delivery Assist with expedited check-in for guests Assist with gear cleaning, put away and inventory Take direction from Lead Winnipeg FOS for any additional tasks as necessary Provide coverage as necessary to facilitate expedited check-in, work in the boots and parkas room, and assist with in-season related errands Comply with and promote all safety procedures Other duties as assigned. TIME & SEASONALITY This is a field-based, seasonal independent contractor (1099) position running approximately from September 29 to November 26, 2026. This role is primarily based at the James Armstrong Richardson International Airport and/or the Hotel Fort Garry Lobby in Winnipeg, Manitoba. While your hours will vary daily, it is certain that you will need to work long hours to accomplish our goal of ultimate customer service. It is understood that at times, it takes early mornings and late evenings to accomplish our goals. We do our best to accommodate your schedule and ensure you have 8 hours of rest in between shifts. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Must be local to Winnipeg or surrounding areas. Preference will be given to candidates with one or more seasons of experience working with our travelers in the field Minimum 5 years of customer service experience Familiarity with Microsoft Suite Proven ability to work autonomously and problem-solve guest concerns and issues with little direction Proven deep understanding of Nat Hab’s Churchill programs an asset Deep understanding of our mission, Core Ideologies, and proven ability to tirelessly focus on creating an exceptional guest experience Proven leadership abilities, including a strong track record of dependability and interpersonal skills Ability to work within a team Familiarity with our internal SharePoint & Tigress systems an asset Experience working in the travel industry an asset Experience working in Churchill or Winnipeg an asset Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and walk, stand, and bend for extended periods as part of daily job duties. Required credentials and certifications (must be current and obtained prior to the start of the season): Basic First Aid certification (or higher level First Aid training) CPR certification Canadian Class 4 Driver's License and a clean motor vehicle record COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience, plus gratuities.
