Title Framing Division Manager Location St NW, Edmonton Job Overview The Framing Division Manager is responsible for the start-up, leadership, and ongoing operation of the Framing Division. This role provides strategic direction and hands‑on operational oversight to ensure framing activities are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while meeting quality and building code standards. The Manager is accountable for workforce leadership, production performance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement as the division scales. Responsibilities Lead the establishment and launch of the framing division from initial planning through full operational execution. Define divisional scope, production capacity, staffing requirements, and growth strategy. Oversee day‑to‑day framing operations across all assigned projects. Recruit, train, and manage a team of qualified framers hired on a sub‑contract basis. Ensure framing crews are adequately staffed, supervised, and properly equipped. Monitor productivity, labour efficiency, and job progress against targets. Ensure all framing work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and building codes. Collaborate with construction teams, inspectors, and general contractors to maintain quality standards. Manage labour budgets, job costing, and productivity performance. Review cost reports and proactively address variances impacting profitability. Communicate risks, delays, or manpower constraints to leadership in a timely manner. Coordinate warranty/closeout communications and compile scope‑specific documentation as needed. Audit SupplyPro / Customer Portal to ensure prompt communication from Residential Supervisors and report information to the Regional General Manager. Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety legislation and company safety policies. Promote a safety‑first culture through leadership, training, and active site engagement. Uphold the high‑quality standards of the company and ensure all work meets or exceeds these standards. Represent the company when dealing with builders, homeowners, and trades. Qualifications and Essential Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Journeyperson Carpenter (Red Seal). Exceptional verbal and written communication and field reporting skills. Practical knowledge of building envelope trades. Strong organization, prioritization, and stakeholder management abilities. Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle. Valid criminal record check completion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint) and project management software.
