Automotive Technician Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to support a Product Assurance Garage environment, working on owned and development vehicles across a range of platforms. This role involves hands-on mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work, supporting testing, validation, and maintenance activities in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic tests and inspections to identify mechanical and electrical issues Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and related vehicle systems Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, inspections, and component replacements Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs and adjustments Follow OEM procedures, specifications, and safety standards Accurately document repairs, maintenance actions, and parts usage Communicate vehicle status, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and support staff to ensure efficient workflows Stay current with evolving automotive technologies and service best practices Must-Have Qualifications High school diploma with 5+ years of automotive technician experience Valid 310S Ontario Automotive Service Technician License Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and specialized equipment Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Comfortable working across multiple vehicle platforms and technologies High attention to detail with strong documentation and safety focus Strong communication and collaboration skills Eagerness to learn and adapt to new automotive technologies Nice-to-Have / Preferred Experience with advanced automotive diagnostic platforms and tools Exposure to vehicle instrumentation, sensors, and data systems Experience with electric vehicle (EV) systems and high-voltage components Background supporting innovation, testing, or development vehicles
