Vacancy Type: This posting reflects an ongoing opportunity for future openings Job Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Reporting Prepare and/or review income and indirect tax returns. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and remittances. Maintain organized records and reconciliations of tax-related documentation. Prepare monthly tax provisions and support financial reporting requirements. Government Correspondence Manage tax audits and inquiries from government agencies. Coordinate responses and gather supporting documentation. Monitor and reconcile various government statements of accounts. Track and maintain compliance with government reporting requirements. Budgeting & Monitoring Lead the budgeting and forecasting of tax payments and expenses. Prepare and maintain annual tax payment schedules and forecasts to support cash flow planning. Compare forecasted vs. actual tax payments and provide insights to FP&A. Ad Hoc Projects & Strategic Support Identify opportunities to improve and automate tax processes. Research and interpret tax legislation to identify risks and opportunities. Review and update annual transfer pricing documentation. Manage relationships with consultants for tax incentive claims and recoveries. Advise on tax implications of business initiatives and transactions. Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax matters. Support senior tax manager with ad hoc projects, including but not limited to tax planning / reorganizations. Job Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation or working toward CPA preferred. 3+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry. Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax legislation (income and/or indirect tax). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is an asset. Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax courses or Master of Taxation is an asset. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
