Role We are seeking a VP, Technology Strategy & Transformation who will be responsible for architecting and delivering the firm’s enterprise technology vision. This role bridges technology strategy, product management, and hands‑on development, ensuring the firm’s technology ecosystem becomes a meaningful competitive advantage across its real estate investment businesses, including both debt and equity platforms. The VP is accountable for end‑to‑end technology execution: defining strategy, building products, writing code where needed, managing projects, mentoring developers, and overseeing enterprise systems, cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory technology requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a multi‑year technology strategy aligned with the firm’s business objectives across both real estate debt and equity investment management. Serve as the primary technology advisor to the executive leadership team, providing thought leadership on innovation, automation, artificial intelligence & machine learning capabilities, data analytics, and emerging technologies relevant to real estate investment management. Product Management & Development Lead product strategy, road mapping, and lifecycle management for all internal and external technology platforms. Drive requirements gathering, user research, and solution design with cross‑functional business partners. Oversee the development of proprietary tools supporting originations, underwriting, portfolio management, asset management, fund operations, investor reporting, and risk management. Ensure all product decisions are aligned with measurable business value, including efficiency gains, accuracy, compliance, and enhanced investment outcomes. Establish and champion product management practices, including backlog prioritization, iterative delivery, and stakeholder communication. Hands‑On Engineering & Technical Leadership Act as a technical lead and active contributor, capable of writing code, architecting integrations, reviewing pull requests, and guiding engineering best practices. Build working prototypes, automate workflows, and support development teams in solving complex technical challenges. Enable advanced reporting and analytics to support investment insights, risk assessment, operational benchmarking, and regulatory reporting. Oversee cybersecurity strategy, policies, and controls to safeguard sensitive information and ensure resilience against emerging threats. Ensure technology practices align with regulatory requirements associated with securities regulators, mortgage/loan licensing authorities, privacy legislation, and investor obligations.
