We are currently seeking to add a Lead Geologist/CPT department lead to our site investigation/CPT team for a full-time position in our Vancouver office. Duties and Responsibilities Manage and lead a team of technicians in the CPT department. Carry out drill-based site investigations, which include, but are not limited to, soil logging during drilling, drill supervision, and performing electric cone penetration testing (CPT). Analysis of CPT/Dilatometer data. Preparation of technical reports. Oversee departmental budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards within the department. Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members as needed. Requirements B.Sc. or higher degree in geology, earth sciences, or related engineering discipline. P.Geo (EGBC) or the ability to register soon A minimum of 5 years of experience in CPT data acquisition and drill-based field investigations Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Eligible to register as a Professional Geoscientist with APEGA Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. A valid AB driver’s license with a clean driving record and a vehicle. Willingness to travel to job sites within BC for short trips. Interest in both field and office work. Preferred Skills Experience working on projects for clients in the construction industry Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to manage time effectively and multitask on multiple projects at once. #J-18808-Ljbffr
