About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Store Manager leads the day‑to‑day operations of the Riverbend Co‑op Food Store in Davidson. This role focuses on working closely with the team, keeping the store running smoothly, and providing a welcoming, dependable shopping experience for the community. What You Will Be Doing Lead the overall operation of the store, including site standards, security, and day‑to‑day execution across multiple departments. Drive strong financial results by managing sales growth, pricing, promotions, and overall profitability. Prepare, administer, and deliver on budgeted goals tied to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory. Own inventory control and ordering practices; ensuring ordering schedules are followed and receiving/warehousing processes are effective. Take direct responsibility for cash handling and ensure company procedures are followed, including daily cash‑ups and accounts receivable practices. Build a team you’re proud of: recruit, coach, schedule, develop, and performance‑manage team members while strengthening engagement. Champion great customer relationships by monitoring satisfaction, resolving issues, and continuously improving store friendliness and service. Be the safety and standards leader; ensuring safety, environmental, maintenance, and asset protection programs are followed through and achieved. What You Will Need Grade 12 education combined with solid, hands‑on experience in retail operations and leadership. Proven experience leading teams in a retail environment, with confidence in day‑to‑day decision‑making. Clear, practical communication skills and a customer‑first mindset suited to a close‑knit community. A working understanding of health and safety expectations, with the ability to lead by example. Comfort with core retail functions, including sales performance, inventory flow, and daily store operations.
