Overview Trinity Western University’s School of Human Kinetics invites applications for a full‑time tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate Human Kinetics courses (e.g., exercise and sport psychology, coaching, growth and development, motor learning, sociology of sport, and sport management courses). Candidates are also expected to engage in professional and scholarly activities, demonstrate promise for a successful research program, advise students, and carry out other faculty responsibilities. Qualifications An earned doctorate in a Human Kinetics discipline or related field is highly preferred. Applicants with ABD will be considered. Established, or demonstrated ability to establish, a record of teaching and research excellence. Experience in the sport industry. Ability to interact with students as an academic advisor and mentor. Ability to work in a diverse and multicultural community. TWU seeks applicants who are committed Christians and able to articulate the intersection of Christian faith and human kinetics, specifically related to their discipline. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses in different Human Kinetics disciplines. Engage with professional sport communities. Model genuine Christian faith in and beyond the classroom. Engage with students outside the classroom, including advising, social interaction, and informal academic and cultural settings. Intentionally and explicitly integrate the Christian faith with teaching and scholarship. Participate in the work of the university, including serving on university committees as needed.
