Salary: CAD $46.37 - $66.66 per hour Job Summary Fraser Health is seeking a Clinical Practice Consultant, Professional Practice to provide expert consultation and leadership that supports excellence in clinical care and fosters a strong professional practice environment across the organization. In this role, you will partner with clinicians, managers, directors, and system leaders to address complex practice challenges, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance evidence‑informed, patient‑centred care. You will contribute to system‑wide initiatives that optimize scope of practice, strengthen professional standards, and support sustainable workforce utilization. This position works with various internal and external partners to establish Fraser Health as a provincial leader in development, implementation and evaluation of clinical learning programs. This position will focus on supporting Critical Care, Cardiac Care, Perioperative Care programming. The most successful candidate should have a strong clinical background in one of these areas. Key Responsibilities Provide practice consultation leadership and guidance to clinicians, managers, and directors to ensure Fraser Health remains a leader in clinical care and professional practice. Conduct practice assessments and provide expert advice and problem‑solving for complex and high‑risk clinical practice issues. Collaborate with Directors, Professional Practice to develop and implement plans that support compliance with relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., Health Professions Act and professional regulatory requirements). Contribute to or lead the development of education plans, clinical decision support tools, revisions to clinical documentation, and implementation strategies supporting practice change. Oversee and support projects and initiatives, incorporating change management and knowledge translation principles. Provide oversight, mentorship, and supervision to designated Professional Practice Integration (PPI) staff and related projects, supporting day‑to‑day operational work. Maximize health human resource utilization by facilitating full scope of practice for all categories of health care providers. Recommend, lead, or contribute to the development and revision of clinical policies, procedures, and practice guidelines. Obtain, review, and disseminate current information related to Professional Standards of Practice, Scope of Practice, Ethical Standards, and Limits and Conditions. Partner with internal and external key partners to conceptualize, develop, deliver, and/or coordinate practice education programs funded by the Nursing Directorate or Fraser Health. Represent Fraser Health and Professional Practice at internal and external events, including educational forums, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and external committees. Collaborate with professional practice councils and clinical groups to support multidisciplinary and discipline‑specific practice development and tools. Network with and support professional practice council structures and Professional Practice representatives to promote practice integration, reduce duplication, and ensure consistency in standards of care and care delivery. Support clinical research initiatives that promote the development, translation, and application of clinical knowledge into professional practice. Education and Experience Graduation from an approved nursing program. Master’s degree in the applicable health profession or in health administration, education, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years’ recent, related experience in a complex health care environment, including progressive experience in: Professional practice Clinical or practice education Project management Leadership or consulting roles Current practicing registration with BCCNM. Supports clinical research to promote the development of clinical knowledge and its application to professional practice. Qualifications Graduate of an approved clinical health profession with a Master’s degree in that health profession or in health administration, education, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years' recent, related clinical and/or education experience in a complex health care environment including progressive professional practice, education, project management and leadership experience. Current practicing registration with the relevant regulatory college or association in British Columbia.
