We are partnering with a well-established and expanding organization looking to add aProperty & Casualty Underwriter to their Montreal team. This role can be hired at the Underwriter or Senior Underwriter level, depending on your experience and technical expertise. You’ll inherit aprofitable book of business while also playing a key role indriving growth, strengthening broker relationships, and contributing to underwriting strategy across Canada. What you’ll be doing: Manage and grow a profitable P&C portfolio Underwrite new business and renewals within authority levels Build and maintain strong broker relationships Identify and develop new business opportunities Partner across specialty lines to maximize multi-line growth Stay on top of market trends and industry developments Participate in projects and initiatives that support business growth What we’re looking for: 3+ years of P&C underwriting experience Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty (Primary & Excess) Proven ability to build broker relationships and generate new business Experience in Manufacturing and/or Construction is an asset CIP or FCIP (or working towards) is preferred Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach Why consider this role?
