Mercer Canada is hiring a National Business Process Specialist for our Montreal or Ottawa offices. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence three days per week. Partnering with the Canada Health Practice Leader, you’ll manage operations, financial forecasting, and staffing budgets while supporting consultants and strategic initiatives. You’ll deliver financial reports and analysis and execute cross‑functional projects with urgency and attention to detail. The applicable base salary range for this role is $84,000 to $126,000. Base pay will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be made on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. Key Responsibilities Analyze and prepare the financial forecast for the team (gathering the information on the commission forecast, following up on write‑offs and accounts receivable). Support the preparation of materials for Leadership meetings. Work closely with the National Practice Leader to drive key initiatives across the organization, including business key leadership presentations and other special projects. Drive effectiveness and organization Support sales analysis and reporting for leadership. Monitor closely cash vs forecast and follow up with stakeholders where appropriate. Support our FP&A team with additional practice‑level analysis of our financial results and forecast. Support staffing strategy, including coordination of requisitions/budget with HR and finance. Oversee license management in collaboration with Legal and Audit Teams. Facilitate effective interactions with internal/external constituents and track progress on action items. Work with internal Audit team to review the Business resiliency plan. Participate in cross‑functional teams and build relationships across the organization. Execution of selected key initiatives in support of the Practice’s strategic agenda. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a corporate environment with an interest in the inner workings of managing a multi‑million‑dollar enterprise. Strong business acumen and analytical mindset. Good with numbers and basic financial acumen. Independent, self‑starter able to work at a face pace and under pressure. Manage various high‑profile activities simultaneously with strong project management capability. Experience managing demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with limited resources or information. Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders. Very high standards of quality, accuracy and timeliness, with a bias to execution. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including developing coherent and concise emails and presentations. Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
