Island Health is seeking Family Physicians to join a supportive and congenial team providing unattached inpatient care at CRG on Northern Vancouver Island. This group functions similarly to a Hospitalist program. CRG is affiliated with the University of British Columbia and the Strathcona Site Family Practice Residency Program with opportunities for teaching. Campbell River General (CRG) in Campbell River, British Columbia is a 105‑bed acute care hospital, established October 2017. Responsibilities Provide family medicine care to unattached and unassigned inpatients at CRG. Admit and manage patients within 5‑ to 7‑day shifts with flexible scheduling. Report to the Division Head of Family Practice for professional duties. Work alongside colleagues in Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, community Family Medicine, Geriatric Psychiatry, General Surgery, Internal Medicine (including the 6‑bed ICU), Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, Palliative care, Pediatrics, Radiology, Addictions Medicine, and with tertiary care centres in Nanaimo and Victoria. Collaborate with UBC residents on home‑call duties overnight and during patient care. Start date As soon as possible Remuneration Remuneration is comprised of admission bonuses and FFS billings. Benefits Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro‑rated based on FTE). Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from). Flat fee: $9,437.761.
