In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, development, and validation of complex telecom and networking hardware platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including system architecture, firmware, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver high‑quality, scalable products.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of high‑speed digital, mixed‑signal, and power electronics for networking and telecommunications productsOwn full hardware development lifecycle from concept, requirements, and schematic design through layout, prototype bring‑up, validation, and production releasePerform board‑level design including component selection, high‑speed interfaces (Ethernet, SERDES), power distribution, EMC/EMI, and signal integrityGuide PCB layout reviews and work closely with layout engineers and contract manufacturersDevelop and execute hardware validation and reliability test plansTroubleshoot complex hardware issues during bring‑up, manufacturing, and field deploymentProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineersCollaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure overall product successSupport regulatory compliance and certifications as required (FCC, CE, UL, etc.)Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field8+ years of experience in hardware design and development of complex electronic systemsStrong experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, or similar)Proven expertise in high‑speed digital design, signal integrity, and power designHands‑on experience with hardware bring‑up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers)Experience with manufacturing support, DFM/DFA, and working with external suppliersStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, cross‑functional environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience designing telecom, networking, or broadband access equipmentFamiliarity with optical, RF, or high‑bandwidth Ethernet technologiesExperience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systemsPrior experience in a global or distributed engineering organizationKnowledge of reliability testing, environmental testing, and regulatory standardsWhat Adtran OffersCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageOpportunities for technical growth and leadership advancementCollaborative, innovation‑driven engineering cultureFlexible work environment with strong work‑life balanceThe chance to work on technologies that connect communities worldwide#J-18808-Ljbffr
