Overview As the Project Manager, you will provide active management of international projects within established schedules and budgets, from contract signing through to commissioning and final handover to our clients. This is an in-office position located at our head office in Ottawa, ON, address: 2650 Queensview Dr. Unit #150, Ottawa, ON K2B 8H6. What You Bring To The Role and Responsibilities are described below. Responsibilities Manage and oversee multiple projects concurrently, focusing on on-time delivery, maximizing margin through cost control and revenue enhancement, and minimizing warranty claims through effective quality control. Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients. Responsible for resolving issues, managing client expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction. Lead all client communications, including negotiations. Manage project cash flow, financial and project reporting, and schedule management to ensure on-time delivery and project completion. Prepare, analyze, review, approve, and manage project execution paperwork to govern projects throughout their life cycle. Conduct project risk analysis and develop/implement actions to mitigate risks. Ensure project contract obligations are understood by all stakeholders, requirements are flowed down to sub-contractors, and deliverables are achieved by all parties, including commissioning of buildings and equipment. Liaise with various departments (sales, engineering, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, etc.) to complete project paperwork and maintain appropriate project records. Monitor and manage the activities of the Installation Team, Technical Advisors, and subcontractors on the project site to ensure consistency of methods, results, adherence to schedules, and achievement within budget. Provide timely reporting of project variances from established schedules and budgets. Escalate roadblocks in the project schedule/budget as needed. Prepare and present progress reports as required to the Executive Management team. Participate in project post mortems/lessons learned to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future projects. Ensure health and safety matters on assigned projects by adhering to ProSlide’s Health and Safety Program. Ensure business is conducted with high standards of quality and integrity. Travel as required to visit project sites, build relationships, and maintain customer relationships. What You Bring To The Role 5-10 years’ experience in project management in the civil or commercial construction industry within a private company. Must have successfully led and delivered medium to large-scale projects in a pressurized environment. Strong client communication skills, including negotiations, relationship building, and client retention. Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities. Post-secondary education of a degree or diploma in a related field is preferred. Project Management designations are considered an asset. Proficient in MS Office, experience with scheduling tools, and ability to learn SmartSheet. Ability to adapt to an entrepreneurial culture with a hands-on attitude and a strong bias for action. Ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively. Team player and consensus builder who collaborates to achieve common goals. Highly developed ability to build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to manage project financials. Must have a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally. Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is an asset but not required. Travel requirements: up to 35% (tradeshows, project sites, and client offices).
