Job Summary The Financial Planner role focuses on building strong client relationships, delivering expert financial advice, and driving business growth. Through an entrepreneurial business model, you will build your portfolio from the ground up. The position offers a commission‑based compensation structure with a guaranteed base salary for the first four years and competitive benefits. Location & Hours Scarborough, Ontario, Canada – Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week. Compensation Base salary: $60,000 – $70,000 CAD. Commission is paid in addition to a guaranteed base during the first four years. Responsibilities Partner with clients to understand life and financial objectives, conduct in‑depth financial reviews, and foster long‑term connections through ongoing support. Leverage data‑driven insights to analyze results, develop recommendations, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of financial programs. Collaborate with the team to achieve shared objectives while enhancing client experience and demonstrating a commitment to service excellence. Monitor productivity and service delivery, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends to remain at the forefront of financial planning. Share expertise by mentoring and guiding colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment. Uphold a strong culture of risk management and control aligned with the organization’s risk appetite. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3–5 years’ experience in banking services, managing client relationships & providing tailored investment advice. Willingness to obtain Registered Representative (RR) licensing with the CIRO, if not already licensed. Commitment to achieving the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within the first three years. CFP eligibility: university degree OR up to 10 years of qualifying work experience OR 5 years as a QAFP professional in good standing.
