Richelieu Hardware is looking for a Purchaser‑Buyer for the PJ White Hardwoods Calgary, Alberta . Responsibilities Source and purchase goods, materials, and services in line with company requirements Issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure accuracy of pricing, quantities, and delivery dates Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve best value and cost savings Maintain accurate purchasing records in JDE or other purchasing systems Collaborate with operations, sales, and warehouse teams to forecast demand Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues related to shortages, delays, or quality Support inventory management by maintaining appropriate stock levels Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures Assist with supplier evaluations and cost analysis reporting Office‑based with regular interaction with suppliers and internal departments Requirements Post‑secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience (industry dependent) Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Proficiency with JDE systems and Microsoft Excel Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment The Ideal Candidate Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Cost‑conscious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Ability to work independently and collaboratively Knowledge of inventory management and logistics processes What We Offer Canadian flagship: As a company with proud roots in Quebec but present in Canada and the United States, we enjoy excellent recognition and a great reputation.
