Overview Reporting to the General Manager, Tundra Grill & Concessions, the Food Services Team Lead exemplifies exceptional customer service and leads by example. The Team Lead will establish positive and motivational work relationships to ensure service quality and standards are exceeded. They will work with the Food Service Team to help prepare and serve our guests quality food & beverage items within our various venues and ensure our visitors have a wonderful experience that exceeds their expectations. Additional responsibilities include always ensuring the safe and healthy preparation of meals and sanitation techniques to avoid cross-contamination and the spoiling of food and beverages under the direction of the Tundra Grill Chef. The Team Lead will help train and mentor new employees, delegate tasks, oversee the resolution of customer complaints and concerns, and assist in daily transactions. Responsibilities Prepare and serve our guests quality food & beverage items at our various venues, Tundra Grill, Toucan Canteen, Bison Snack Shack, Lyric Stage Canteen, Mini Donut Trailer, Hot Dog Carts and Ice Cream Carts. Accurately perform all POS transactions completely by processing sales transaction into cash register system. Reconcile cash drawer and complete all necessary reports. Respond in a timely manner to hourly sales fluctuations and act accordingly to maximize labour dollars. Communicate any low stock. Ensure quality and performance standards levels, ensuring sufficient levels are maintained. Respond in a positive and timely manner to all guest requests and complaints, ensuring they are passed onto the Tundra Grill and Concessions Manager when required or further action is required. Provide support to the goodwill ambassador volunteers on site. Health & Safety Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the restaurant areas and concession locations (including mobile carts), including refrigerators, storerooms, and that food products are rotated to ensure high standards of freshness. Ensure refrigerators and storerooms are organized and maintained in the various areas on a daily basis and that all food products are stored in accordance with provincial regulations. Administration Respond in a positive and timely manner to all internal and external guest requests and complaints, while meeting Park Hospitality’s standards to exceed the clients’ expectations in addition to remaining budget conscious, also ensuring that required forms are filled out and submitted to the required department managers. Responsible for the reconciliation and submission of all daily cash out reports. Fluent in the use of POS system and Cash systems. Staffing, coaching & mentoring Delegate duties as required to restaurant and concessions staff. Ensure that the morale of your staff is maintained by practicing positive strategies to motivate staff, encourage self-esteem and efficiency. Maintain a professional image while working and provide extraordinary experiences to our park visitors while performing daily work activities.
