You will work closely with senior team members to keep client engagements running smoothly, ensure that every client touchpoint reflects Kittiwake's values, and bring organizational precision to our growing portfolio of campaigns, events, and initiatives. Role Overview The Associate, Philanthropy & Client Services, brings together two key areas of contribution: hands‑on support for client work and a commitment to the Kittiwake client experience. This person is organized, personable, adaptable, and deeply invested in doing good work. Key Responsibilities Client Work Support (50%) Working closely with account managers and senior advisors, you will jump in wherever needed to keep client work moving—on time, on brand, and to a high standard. This is a role for someone who takes ownership, identifies what needs doing, and brings the energy and skill to get it done well. Responsibilities in this area will vary depending on the needs of each client engagement. Examples include: Create facilitation guides, slide decks, and meeting materials for client workshops and projects Design and administer surveys and compile results for reporting and strategy purposes Take thorough, well‑organized notes during client meetings and translate them into clear summaries and action items Conduct data reviews and synthesize findings to support project analysis and reporting Format, proofread, and edit documents and deliverables to ensure they meet Kittiwake’s quality standards Support the production of proposals, stewardship reports, donor briefings, and other project materials Client Experience & The Kittiwake Way (50%) At Kittiwake, we believe deeply that our clients are stewards of donor dollars—and we are stewards of our clients. Help develop and maintain client experience standards, templates, and practices that embody the Kittiwake Way Coordinate thoughtful client touchpoints—milestone acknowledgements, check‑ins, and other moments of connection Track client engagement and relationship notes to ensure no one falls through the cracks Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure clients have smooth, professional transitions Contribute to stewardship communications that celebrate client wins and reinforce that Kittiwake is a true partner in their work Bring a hospitality mindset to everything: a client's loss is our loss; their win is our win Coordinate logistics and end‑to‑end planning for Kittiwake Client events, webinars, and convenings Requirements 2–3 years of relevant experience in a professional services, nonprofit, or administrative role (new graduates with strong transferable experience are welcome to apply) Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities with composure and precision Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and an ability to adapt tone for different contexts and audiences Comfortable producing polished documents, slide decks, and materials using tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or Canva A genuine interest in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector and a belief in the power of generosity to change communities Personable, professional, and client‑oriented—someone who brings care and intentionality to every interaction Collaborative team player who is also capable of working independently and taking initiative Experience with project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or similar is an asset Salary of $60,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience Hybrid work arrangement based in Halifax, NS Opportunity to grow within a dynamic and mission‑driven consulting practice Mentorship and hands‑on learning from senior leaders with deep expertise in philanthropy and campaign management A team culture rooted in East Coast values: genuine, collaborative, and committed to meaningful work We strongly encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and lived experiences.
