Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for stewarding the financial health, sustainability, and risk management of a complex, multi‑entity real estate portfolio, while playing a critical role in advancing CLT’s mission to deliver and sustain permanently affordable housing across British Columbia. As a key advisor to the leadership team, the MDFA provides enterprise‑wide financial leadership across development, redevelopment, acquisitions, refinancing, and long‑term portfolio management. Working closely with development, housing operations, and executive leadership, the MDFA shapes strategic decisions, leads financing and capital planning, ensures strong governance and reporting, and builds relationships with lenders, funders, and partners, directly enabling long‑term community impact.Key requirements You are a collaborative and strategic finance leader who thrives in complex, mission‑driven environments. You bring both technical depth and the ability to influence at the executive and board level.Your background includes:Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in finance or accountingExperience in real estate, housing, development, construction, property management or other asset‑heavy environmentsExposure to non‑profit, co‑operative, or public‑interest organizations is an assetDeep expertise in financial planning, reporting, controls, and complianceStrong knowledge of financing structures, debt management, and risk oversightA track record of translating complex financial data into clear, strategic insightsA collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functionsExperience with Yardi or similar enterprise systems (asset)The salary for this position ranges from $148,000 - $173,000 per annum.
