At Escape Velocity a Debug Engineer will identify and resolve technical issues, performing in-depth analysis and debugging to ensure high quality/world class standards. Collaborate with engineering and support teams to enhance system performance and reliability. Responsibilities Create internal tools that assist in problem solving, improve developer ease to maintain, and identify issues Diagnose and troubleshoot game features and stability Perform in-depth debugging and analysis of system failures Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve technical problems Develop, modify, and debug gameplay software in script and C/C++ Assist in the development and implementation of system improvement strategies Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues in a timely manner What you will bring An appetite to cover a wide spectrum of game systems and become a core knowledgebase to support the development team.
