Senior Aerodynamics/CFD Engineer (Hybrid – 3 days a week in office in Mirabel) Capgemini Engineering is looking for a Senior Aerodynamics/CFD Engineer with expertise in simulating airflow around aircraft designs and engines to optimize performance, handling, and safety. This role requires the ability to work onsite in Mirabel 3 days per week and must be held by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Key Responsibilities Work with 3D CAD models (e.g., 3DX, CATIA, SolidWorks) to prepare geometries for CFD simulations. Prepare CFD meshes (e.g., Fluent Meshing, ICEM CFD, ANSA, CADfix). Use CFD software (TAU, CODA, elsA, Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+) to simulate airflow, generate meshes, and analyze aerodynamic performance. Post-process CFD solutions using python scripts, Tecplot, Paraview. Create aerodynamic models and databases based on CFD and experimental data (wind tunnel, flight tests). Contribute to optimizing aircraft designs by analyzing aerodynamic behavior and identifying improvement areas. Analyze CFD results, extract insights, and present findings to stakeholders. Lead junior engineers in integrating CFD results into project deliverables. Write and approve technical reports. Maintain direct working relationships with clients and represent work during client meetings. Required Qualifications Canadian citizen or permanent resident. At least 2 years of experience in CFD and aerodynamics. Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with specialization in aerodynamics. Proficiency in CFD software, meshing techniques, and turbulence modeling. Strong understanding of aerodynamic principles, flight mechanics, and aircraft performance. Ability to analyze, interpret, and present CFD results effectively. Strong communication and customer‑facing skills. Team player who can work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Proactive attitude with ability to communicate at multiple levels. Excellent verbal and written English. Proficiency in French is a plus. Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages; Unix knowledge is a plus. Compensation: The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $54,200.00 to $118,350.00.
