The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance for project equipment, managing project inventory and ensuring appropriate records of maintenance are kept in the CMMS in line with the Asset Management Plan and other DMC standards.ResponsibilitiesImplementation of the maintenance program in line with the Asset Management Plan.Execution of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for generation and recording of maintenance work orders.Ensure the preventive/predictive maintenance program is completed to OEM or other recognized requirements.Develop PPM requirements for equipment as needed and input into the CMMS.Update the CMMS to reflect current maintenance requirements and incorporate learnings from observations or lessons learned.Maintain the maintenance schedule for mobile and fixed equipment and ensure release from Operations to complete PPMs is planned accordingly.Co‑ordinate with the maintenance (electrical & mechanical) team to ensure maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and timely in line with project budgets.Schedule third‑party/OEM support when needed and ensure attendees meet site requirements.Identify component parts, obtain quotes and expedite through Procurement for any emergency (breakdown) maintenance tasks.Administer information associated with new assets, equipment transfers, buy‑outs and rentals.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (NDT, FSS, diesel permits, ramp tests).Ensure accurate records of machine hours and other operating parameters such as availability and utilization are collected, recorded and communicated to the Project Team.Review information from oil sample analysis, component operating hour data, maintenance crew, operating reports, delay information, OEM supplier’s component supply contracts and recommend continuous improvements.Ensure warranty work is claimed, and issues are resolved in a timely manner.Manage the Project critical spares inventory in line with DMC’s standard operating procedures.Coordinate any Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).Assist in invoice reviews and payment approvals for maintenance items.Travel to sites as required.Other tasks to support the maintenance team as needed.QualificationsPost Secondary Education including Trades certification (preferably mechanical), or technical diploma.3+ years’ experience in maintenance planning.Experience using ERP such as Microsoft D365, Oracle or SAP.Use of Microsoft Office suite; including Excel spreadsheets.Gathering and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs).Additional InformationWe are hiring to fill an existing vacancy.Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 CAD + Short‑term Incentive Plan Bonus.Comprehensive benefits and retirement plan.This role will be performed On‑site.Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on individualized factors, level, location and experience.DMC Mining is an equal opportunity employer.
