Microsoft Infrastructure Specialist – NETEWeir Marine Engineering (WME) seeks a Microsoft Infrastructure Specialist to work with Windows Server, Directory Services, Azure cloud integration and related technologies in projects to develop, test and deliver complex IT solutions for existing and future Royal Canadian Navy ships. Key ResponsibilitiesClient Interfacing: Interact with clients and business/technical stakeholders to understand, extract and develop project requirements (functional, operational, performance, security, etc.) and prepare/deliver technical presentation material. Enterprise Integration: Design, set up, configure and test new IT systems, technologies or capabilities for integration into a large existing Microsoft enterprise environment. Technical Work Implementation: Perform integration, performance and functional testing of changes to current systems within a Microsoft‑based hybrid network infrastructure. Team Collaboration: Participate in internal and external review, coordination and progress meetings and conduct peer technical reviews. Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero‑harm behaviours and support the development of a world‑class safety culture. QualificationsTen or more years of relevant IT technical experience. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure and Active Directory, including large multi‑domain AD environments and enterprise rollouts of Windows Server 2019/2022. Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and hybrid on‑premise/cloud configurations and migrations. Experience automating installations with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) setups via Microsoft PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python or other scripting tools. Canadian citizenship and continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years, without periods longer than six months abroad.
