We are looking for an Analyst, Benefits Consulting to join our team in our Calgary Office. Role Overview As an Analyst on our Benefits team, you will be responsible for assisting the Benefit Consultants with all client management requirements, focusing on retention of the assigned book of business and supporting business development activities. Responsibilities Perform financial analysis of insurance data and cost modeling. Prepare financial analysis reports and presentations communicating key results to clients. Maintain strong relationships and participate in negotiations with insurers and partners. Respond to inquiries from clients and insurers. Participate in calls and presentations with clients, as appropriate. Help in developing strategic recommendations for clients and participate in the development of new business. Take the initiative in the development of internal processes and tools. Manage the quality and timeliness of client deliverables. Assist in keeping the internal database and tracker up-to-date. Participate in the review and validation of the work done by colleagues and other team members. Play a proactive role in establishing and maintaining best practices. Maintain and develop internal technical knowledge. Participate in the training of new colleagues and junior team members. Develop and promote our company as a key player in the market with excellent knowledge of the industry. Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting or group benefits insurance. Valid group insurance license, an asset. Achievement of ASA / ACIA designation of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) / Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA), an asset. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Attention to detail and quality. Effective time management and organizational skills.
