Your Opportunity The Buildings Canada East Division requires a Mechanical Commissioning Specialist engineer who will provide technical leadership for the building commissioning service line in Markham. The position entails project delivery and continued development of the service line at a provincial level, with key functions related to delivery of commissioning services, development of documentation, interaction with contractors and clients, business development, and assistance with proposal delivery. Your Key Responsibilities Conduct project delivery activities related to Building Commissioning, including LEED-related commissioning, retro-commissioning, and re-commissioning projects. Perform extensive site visits and coordinate work with other disciplines and team members. Liaison/coordinate with clients, contractors and authorities having jurisdiction. Assist with proposal delivery activities related to Building Commissioning. Collaborate with Commissioning management team to develop strategies and business plans for expansion of the service line. Your Capabilities and Credentials Strong familiarity with construction documentation including drawings and specifications. Interest in buildings, commissioning, energy management, sustainability and construction. Ability to divide time between on-site activities and office administrative duties. Desire to travel extensively on one-day site visits primarily in Eastern Ontario. Strong understanding of building mechanical controls, especially pertaining to HVAC units. Commitment to high quality standards and partnering with clients to achieve client goals. Education and Experience Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree with a minimum of 10+ years of commissioning or design experience in mechanical HVAC systems design or maintenance (University diploma preferred but not essential). Pay Range Locations in Lower Mainland - BC, GTA & Ottawa Ontario: $94,600.00 - $137,100.00 Annually.
