Consistent with Strategic Corporate Objectives, the Manager, Finishing Production, provides the leadership to safely and effectively manage all plant operations to achieve maximum efficiencies within cost & quality standards. This role is also responsible to know and exceed customer requirements for cost, quality and delivery. This position will be working with some automated equipment as well as responsibility for the distribution of drywall finish good across multiple provinces. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Lead safe, efficient use of labor, materials, equipment, and inventory. Drive best-in-class processes through leadership and training. Maintain strong housekeeping standards across the plant. Enforce safety rules and coach employees toward high performance. Review daily production metrics and address variances with corrective actions. Reduce human error and support employee development and mentoring. Identify, justify, and implement capital equipment and improvements. Partner with warehouse teams to optimize product mix and on-time delivery. Align maintenance schedules with production needs. Collaborate with maintenance to maximize plant performance and reliability. Support budgeting and recommend capital projects. Exercise independent judgment in production, operations, and problem‑solving. IS THIS JOB FOR YOU? Bachelor’s degree in either Engineering or Business, (or relevant manufacturing experience with essentially the same responsibilities as outlined in this job description.) 2–5 years’ operations management experience within a lean manufacturing environment. Experience with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and ISO standards. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Mechanical aptitude with hands‑on problem‑solving ability. Experience with process programming, HMI, and self‑directed teams. Demonstrated adaptability, innovation, and strong employee/customer focus.
