Project Manager - Asset Engineering *Hybrid* Location: Calgary, AB, CA; Markham, ON, CA Company: Black & Veatch Family of Companies Date: Mar 25, 2026 Role Overview The Project Manager for Asset Engineering will manage and orchestrate multiple small to medium‑size projects ranging from initial conceptual design to complete EPCM opportunities on existing generation facilities. Additional potential projects include sustainable generation, data centers, oil & gas, and industrial sites. The position supports a national team focused on delivering value through high technical standards and a one‑team culture. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead small teams of multi‑discipline professionals. Coordinate and integrate activities associated with engineering, procurement, construction, and startup, including third‑party contributions. Support client project development with feasibility studies, cost estimates, schedule development, and execution planning. Provide technical support for client projects, including design review, development engineering, construction monitoring, startup, testing, and commissioning. Provide proposal support with technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation. Actively promote Black & Veatch's safety culture and ensure compliance. Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals; lead project teams through all phases of plant modification and upgrade projects. Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including simple cycle, combined cycle, and plant expansion. Experience across multiple phases of project execution. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Professional engineering license (PE, P.Eng or equivalent). Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
