Job Summary As the Product Specialist for high-speed testing, you are part of the product management team and the critical link between EXFO’s R&D teams and the needs of our global customer base. You will work closely with the Solution and product managers in the definition and marketing of EXFO’s High-Speed product lines—from 400G, 800G and 1.6T rates—while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build products that truly move the industry forward. This is more than product management. As a key member in EXFO’s MDR (Manufacturing, Design, and Research) business unit, you will participate in defining vision, unlocking new market potential, and delivering real impact. Responsibilities Support product managers to manage High-Speed product lines, traffic‑generators and electrical Bert testing platforms and modules. Collaborate with fellow Solution Managers and Product Line Managers within the MDR team to strengthen our product offerings and roadmaps to address market needs. Coordinate with Sales, Product management and tech‑support teams to align EXFO solutions with customer needs and roadmaps and bring values to impact customers’ business metrics. Support marketing teams to plan and execute go‑to‑market initiatives. Participate in trade shows and other business events to build brand awareness, to identify new business opportunities, and to market EXFO solutions. Report on business opportunities in target markets. Technical Mastery Deep knowledge of Network and physical test & measurement principles and tools. Sharp understanding of telecom, fiber optics, IP layer stack and IP over DWDM (IPoDWDM technologies. First‑hand experience using and/or designing test solutions for transceivers and network equipment, or lab applications. Proficient in programming languages such as Python. Business Acumen and Product Management A proven track record in product management, product design, R&D, or technical supports within telecom, photonics, or high‑tech sectors. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, with the ability to work with cross‑functional teams from concept to commercialization. Strong analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to develop roadmaps, shape portfolios, and grow market share. Relationship‑Driven A natural collaborator and communicator who thrives in global, multi‑disciplinary environments. Comfortable engaging with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders at all levels. Bilingual in English and French; additional languages are a plus. Passion for emerging tech trends in AI infrastructure, AI‑enabled T&M, or advanced packaging. Experience working with global clients and navigating complex sales cycles.
